Wake of a War Bride is a short documentary about painter Bev Tosh. Bev Tosh’s art is based directly on primary sources including hundreds of personal interviews with war brides, photographs, letters and personal memorabilia and the film follows her story.
To bring out the essential longing and sadness of both Bev’s and the war brides stories I created a lyrical theme and chose a chamber string ensemble of violin and cello which I overdubbed.
