The four “Cityscapes” are inspired by my experiences in different cities. Each movement tries to capture my emotional responses to these experiences.
Cars and freeways are central to our lives in many ways. They can lead us on exciting trips or frustrate us with traffic jams. Motoric rhythms play in the background while a variety of melodies give each section a chance to shine.
The four “Cityscapes” pieces may be performed as a set, on their own, or in any combination.
